Me – “Kelsey, I really don’t think Twinkle Toes exist.”

Kelsey –  ”Seriously mom, you don’t know what you’re talking about. Google it… you’ll see. They’re really real!”

My fingers hesitantly entered “twinkle toes” into the almighty google. And only for my 6 year old’s amusement of course. I mean, Twinkle Toes?! Really?

Boy was I wrong! Not only do Twinkle Toes exist, they are all the craze. Just walk into any shoe section at Kohls a week before school starts and you’ll witness the madness too. And all this time I had no clue… sigh.

Kelsey, you are the sweetest little first grade diva I’ve ever met. Thank you for being the bestest daughter EVER and for putting up with your oh so out-of-touch mom. I hope first grade is everything you dreamed of and more!!! Muah!!

It wouldn’t be first grade without atleast one missing tooth!! Kelsey actually let me pull this one out the day before school. It was loose, come on now! lol

Alicia and Nate are fabulous in every way possible. You can just feel the goodness oozing from them both. I had an awesome time photographing them in Red Rock Canyon, located just west of Las Vegas. These two are so playful, I just loved them! For example, when I suggested maybe they could click their hills together or reinact “Singing in the Rain” they didn’t hesitate and jumped right into it. Priceless I tell you!! I love all people, but I really super love happy people!

Thank you both for making my day so boisterous and fun! You were truly meant to be together

Their celebration took place at the fabulous JW Marriott, which fit them perfectly. Not only does the venue provide an elegant ceremony location, but it is also a prime spot for the young at heart

After the ceremony concluded, the games began! The happy couple and all their guests lived it up by dancing the night away, playing volleyball, horseshoes, and ping pong. It was truly a fabulous night!

Thank you Anna and Emerson, for giving me the opportunity to photograph your beautiful Las Vegas wedding. You are surrounded by so much love and I was honored to be there to document that. Congratulations again!!

Las Vegas Wedding Photographers  Destination Wedding Photographers

Skydiving has been on my bucket list forever and today I finally did it. Woo hooo!!!!!!!!! 

I’m so glad I decided to start off my 30’s this way  I’ve officially dubbed myself a skydiving advocate. I truly believe with all my heart that everyone (in good health of course) NEEDS to do this, lol. It was worth every penny and adrenaline pumping moment. For real.

Honestly, I’m still in shock how calm I was. It didn’t even feel like I was falling! The anticipation is the worst part by far. Actually jumping out of the plane – piece of cake. The experience is simply awesome and impossible to fully describe. You just have to DO IT!!

I want to personally thank everyone at Skydive Mesquite. The drive from Las Vegas was merely an hour and totally worth it. You guys are the best ever!! And Joe is hands down the most fabulous instructor on earth. End of story.

Abrianna’s beautiful family was one of the very first families I photographed after relocating to Las Vegas. Since their first session with me, I have watched their family grow and I’ve been lucky enough to photograph many happy moments! Most recently I was honored to document Abrianna’s birth, her newborn portraits and last week her baptism & 7 month portraits. I had never been to this particular campsite before and I must admit… I was pretty skeptical when we drove up. Our site was so stinking small, there was barely room for our tent and a picnic table! Yeah, at this point I was seriously questioning why I had ever let my husband plan a camping trip all on his own. What woman lets that happen, right?! Luckily we stayed during the middle of the week, which meant we almost had the entire place to ourselves. It turned out to be a perfect spot with amazing beach access! Sorry for ever doubting you sweetheart :) 

Here is probably my favorite shot of the trip, my girls watching their daddy fish. Love these two soooo much!!

And last but not least, I made a little slideshow of my girls playing on the beach with good ole Animoto.  Enjoy

Las Vegas Wedding Photographers  Destination Wedding Photographers

When Karen contacted me inquiring about wedding portraits, she expressed how much she wanted to have them done at the Valley of Fire. I was so excited… except for one tiny little issue. They would be traveling to Las Vegas mid-July, the hottest flipping month of the year!! And yes internet… they call it the Valley of FIRE for a reason

I decided to take a chance and make a crazy suggestion to Karen, hoping she would consider it. I recommended shooting her session during sunrise, simply because it is 20+ degrees cooler. I mean really, who wants to prance around in their wedding dress when it’s 115 degrees outside? However, the catch was that sunrise in July would be at the painful hour of 5:45am AND the Valley of Fire is about an hour away from the Strip… yeah, I was going to be pretty much shocked if she was up for this!! 

Much to my surprise, Karen replied:

“The sunrise shoot sounds very tempting, but I guess I need to find a makeup and hairstylist who can make it to my hotel at 3am which might be difficult, haha…”

And that’s when I called one of my favorite gals, the lovely Mishele, because I just knew she’d be up for the insanity. When I replied to Karen informing her I had a stylist available for her at 3am, she dubbed me a Maverick (which I thought was pretty sweet) and the sunrise shoot was on!!

I had an amazing time with you both and couldn’t be happier with the results. Thank you for allowing me to capture this priceless time in your lives. You are a beautiful match and I wish you endless years of happiness together! I hope you enjoy a few highlights from their session

Kris and Tom complete each other to the core.  Just watching them together brings a smile to my face

Last month I had the most fabulous time at their wedding! Photography was SO important to them both and I cannot express how honored I was to capture their day.

I first met these two when I photographed their engagement session in Red Rock Canyon. Originally they were planning a Las Vegas wedding for later in the year, which is how they found me. Yay for the internet!! Well, plans changed and they moved the location to their home in Bend, Oregon. When Kris called and asked me if I would travel to Oregon to photograph their wedding, I was ecstatic!!

Kris and Tom, you are truly incredible people and even more incredible together. Thank you for asking me to capture your day and inviting me to be a part of your beautiful lives. And thank you even more for your continued friendship Vance and I look forward to many more fabulous adventures with you both! Congratulations again!!

Have I ever expressed how much I love LOVE before? These two had such an adorable connection, which I was utterly and completely honored to capture. And the love in the room during the toasts was undeniable. I found myself getting all choked up a couple of times during the father of the bride’s toast. Like I said… I just love LOVE! Each wedding reminds me of just how blessed I am to be able to do something that I truly love so much. Life is good
