Red Rock Studios Adventure Photographer

I was stoked when Alexia Vernon contacted me to create an image for the cover of her new motivational CD, The Speaker Workout. I don’t have concept photography projects very often, so this was a fun switch in gears for me. She told me that after she had seen my rock climbing bridal shoot, she knew I was exactly the photographer she was looking for. How cool is that!?! I was totally flattered and very excited to work with someone who also thinks a rock climbing bride is pretty much rad! Yeah, I just said rad… and I meant it

Alexia’s shoot was hilariously fun. We really hit it off and had a great time shooting, posing and joking around while we waited for the sun to cover the valley with that perfect soft light. The wind was pretty extreme that evening which added a flair of the unexpected and a bit of fear! At one point her exercise ball was blasted right from her hands and carried far away… far, far away… as in crossing over the highway far!! We were both in shock and scared to death as we saw it fly across the road. Can you imagine watching a massive white ball fly in front of your car on the highway, out of nowhere?!? Super duper scary!! Thank God there was no traffic at that moment… I cannot even begin to express how relieved we both were. And yes, we put the ball safely in the car after that episode :)
